"I’ve so far scaled nine mountains since I came to PGH. It’s a hobby I began to love in high school. Mountaineering because I love nature; I crave for a view from the summit; and I like it when the going gets tough because I get to measure up how far I can push myself… The Sun is God. I climb to meet the Sun at a higher plane. Each encounter is unusual and magnificent. I enjoy the moment I waste just facing the Sun, meditating every aspect of its strength and savoring the grandeur of light it omits. The face of the Sun can launch a thousand climb. How the Sun aptly reflects our Creator’s might and beauty. In this life’s adventure I call myself “El Peregrino,” which means the pilgrim. I am a pilgrim in search of the One who will inspire the force within me…"
